Flood situation turns grim in Telangana , A.P.
Heavy rain in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh has resulted in flood like situation in several districts. At least nine people have died in Telangana .
The districts of Khammam , Mahabubabad , Suryapet , Mulugu and Bhadradari Kothagudeb were badly hit with Khammam receiving unprecedented rain of over 52 CM in 25 hours .
PM Narendra Modi and HM Amit Shah called CM Revanth Reddy and assured him of central assistance .
Neighbouring Andhra Pradesh too were affected with Guntur being the worst hit .
Railway tracks were washed away in flood water at several places .
South Central railways has announced cancellation of 80 trains , while 84 trains were diverted.
After four months pause two killed , six injured in fresh violence in Manipur
Violence has returned to Manipur afTer a four month long pause with suspected extremist killing two persons and injuring at least six in a gun bomb battle using “ high tech drones “ on Sunday .
The fight between Kuki Zo and Metied reportedly began at 2:30 PM z at Koutruk and Kadangaband villages in the Meitei dominated Imphal West district , which adjoins the Kuki majority bill district of Kangkopki.
The Kuki militants are using drones to drop bombs at Metie areas .
The state government has said that this is a bid to derail peace .

The Food and Public Distribution department recently issued an advisory that LGBTQIA + couples be considered as part of the same household for distribution of ration cards .
The Union health ministry also has issued advisories that allows such partners to claim each other’s body “ when near relative / next to kin /father is not available “ .
The health ministry has also framed guidelines for medical intervention incase of intersex children . So that they can “ have medically normal life without complications “ .

Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnav unveiled the prototype of the Vande Bharat sleeper coach here on Sunday.
The coach will undergo trials and testing for three months before being rolled out .

On Sunday six more hostages were found dead in a tunnel in Rafah , Gaza .
Israel said that these were murdered by Hamas .

Israel protest to demand ceasefire after hostages die
Massive protests started in Israel , demanding immediate ceasefire so that remaining hostages can return home.
Israel’s largest trade Union , the Histadrut , pressured the government by calling a general strike for Monday . It aims to shut down or disrupt the economy , including banking , health care and the country’s main airport .

In the largest protest since October 7 last year , tens of thousands of protesters gathered outside Mr Netanyahu ‘s office in Jerusalem .
Protesters demanded immediate ceasefire and return of remaining hostages .

Japan protests after Chinese ship enters its territorial water
Japan voiced “ strong concern and protest “ after a Chinese Naval ship entered Japanese territorial waters .
The Chinese Naval ship entered Japanese territorial waters near Kuchinoerabu island at around 6:00 AM on Saturday and exited southwest of Yakushima islands nearly two hours later , the Defense ministry said .
The Japanese Foreign ministry has expressed protest with the Chinese embassy in Tokyo .
Last Monday , Japan had scrambled fighter jets after a two minute incursion of Chinese surveillance aircraft off the Danjo islands , in the east China sea .
Russia downs over 150 drones , captures two Ukrainian regions
Russian air defences intercepted and destroyed 158 Ukrainian drones overnight on Saturday .
This includes two drones over Moscow , nine over surrounding regions , Russia’s defence ministry said on Sunday .
Forty six of the drones were over the Kursk region ,where Ukraine has captured a significant area. 34 were shot down at Bryansk region , 28 in Voronezh region and 14 over Belgorod region .
Ukraine has stepped up aerial assault and is targeting Russian refineries and oil terminals .
In the Russian strike over Ukitake , 44 people were wounded when Russia launched 10 missiles on Ukraine .
