NEET paper leak case
: 2 teachers among 4 booked in Maharashtra
The Maharashtra police have booked four persons , including
two zila parishad teachers , in connection to the NEET UG question paper leak .
Two of them are teachers at local coaching centers from
Latur city of Maharashtra .
While one teacher was arrested , another is being questioned
, they allegedly shared hall tickets
detailes to a third accused linked to the money trial.
The Central Bureau of Investigation on Monday took over five
cases related to paper leak in NEET from state police .
One case is from Bihar , one from Godhra , and three cases
from Rajsthan .

NTA reforms committee
holds its first meeting
The committee constituted to reform the functioning of
National Testing Agency held it first
meeting on Monday .
It discussed methods to develop solid end to end process to
conduct various exams , a source said .
The committee is to come up with a clear manual to fix a data security protocol
to prevent the leaking of question papers .
The committee is also looking at the processes by which
question papers is printed . The committee is looking for the possibility of doing this without external interference .
The committee is also expected to examine different modes of
conducting examinations .
Meanwhile , The Supreme Court on Monday said that there was
“ no urgency “ to issue notice to CBI and ED in NEET UG irregularities .

SC on Monday did not intervened in High Court’s stay on
Arvind Kejriwal’s bail .
Mr Kejriwal in turn asked why his freedom has been curtailed
despite trial court upholding his personal liberty and grant him bail .
Trial court on June 20 had granted Arvind Kejriwal bail . ED
moved to Delhi High Court against trial court .
Delhi High court in his interim order had cancelled the bail . The court
will pronounce its verdict today .

delegations reach J&K to inspect power projects under Indus Water Treaty
Delegation of India and Pakistan reached Kishtwar on Monday
to inspect various hydroelectric projects under Indus Water Treaty ( IWT ) .
This is after five years that any Pakistani delegation has
visited India .
The delegation would inspect Ratle Hydroelectric Power
Project , Pakal Dul Power Project , a tributary of Chenab in Kishtwar .
IWT was signed in 1960 , with mediation by World Bank .
Under this the control over the waters of Beas ,Ravi , Satuj , has been given
to India . While the Indus , Chenab and Jhelum was given to Pakistan . India
however can still limited use waters of Chebab , Jhelum and Chenab for
irregatoon , hydroelectricty , fish culture etc .

West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee has wrote to PM that any that
no discussion on Sharing of Teesta water should happen without the consent of
state government .
Currently under a temporary solution in 1983 , Bagladesh
gets 36 % of Teesta river water , India gets 39% while remaining water remains
unallocated .
Both countries are looking to solve the water sharing

artificial colours in Kebabs banned across Karnataka
Karnataka government , the Karnataka government has now
banned the use of artificial colours in Kebabs made with vegetables , chickens
and fish across the state .
Of 39 samples of kebabs samples from various locations by
Food Safety department , eight were found to be unsafe owing to presence of
artificial colouring agent .
While the presence of sunset yellow color was found in seven
, one has sunset yellow and carmonise colour .

Russia’s Dagestan
region mourns as toll in Islamist attack climb to 20
Islamist militants in Russia’s killed at least 20 people in
a coordinated attack in Russia’s Dagestan .
Militants first attacked a church in Derbent , killed the
main priest , and set the church ablaze .
Shortly after the attack in Derbent , militants fired at a
police post in Dagestan’s capital Makhachakala and attacked a Russian Synagogue
