The Commission for Scientific and Technical Terminology (CSTT), under Ministry of Education is working on Technical and scientific terminologies in 10 Indian languages that are under represented in the learning landscape.
Bodo, Santhali, Dongri, Kashmiri, Konkand, Nepali, Manipuri, Sindhi, Maithli and Sanskrit are part of 8th schedule of Constitution. Howe0ver there is paucity of study materials due to lack of words to describe technical terms and scientific phenomenon CSTT will bring out fundamental (basic) dictionaries with 5,000 words per language, in 3-months.
It will be available in digital format and about 1000-2000 copies of dictionaries will also be printed and distributed
The terms will cover subjects :
Journalism, public administration, Chemistry, physics, economies, Ayurveda, mathematics, Computer Science, political science, agriculture, civil) and electrical engineering. This will enable text book formulation at middle and senior as well University Jewel.
