CBI arrests 2 in
Patna for leak of NEET paper
In its first arrest from Patna in the NEET UG paper leak CBI
arrested two persons into custody on Thursday .
According to the agency , Manish Kumar and Ashutosh Kumar –
played a crucial role in arranging to rent the Learn Boys hostel and Play
School in Patna’s Khemnichak , where the leaked question papers were allegedly
distributed to the candidates on the eve of examination .
CBI also questioned Oasis School principle in Hazaribagh . CBI has arrested seven person
from here .
President flags NEET
, mentions Emergency in her Parliament

President Draupadi Murmu on Thursday addressed a joint
session of both houses of parliament .
President Murmu asked MPs to rise above “ partisan politics
“ with regard to row over “ paper leaks “ in examinations for medical College
admission and government recruitment .
President Murmu raised several other issues including the
Emergency imposed by the Congress government .
She called is as “ biggest and darkest chapter of the constitution . “
President Murmu also lauded the role of EVMs in used in
elections across the country .

INDIA plans adjournment
motion on NEET issue
Opposition parties belonging to the INDIA bloc will move
adjournment motion in both the houses of
Parliament on Friday , over alleged
irregularities in the NEET test .
However , the government is unlikely to agree to such a
motion .
The Education Minister is expected to brief parliament about
NEET irregularities .
An adjournment motion is a tool that seeks to stop all other
businesses of the house ,and take up the issue for which adjournment motion has
been moved .
Adjournment motion can be brought only in Lok Sabha .
Speaker decides whether the motion is valid or not .
Uttarakhand govt to
study risk posed by 13 glacial lakes during monsoon
With Monsoon setting in , the Uttarakhand State Disaster Management
Department ( USDMA ) will do a vulnerability study of 13 glacial lakes , five
of them in “ high risk zone “ , from July .
The study aims to help avoid calamities such as lake
outbursts.
The five lakes in “ high risk zone “ are : Darma lake ,
Lastarya Ghati lake , Kutiyagati valley , Vasundhra Taal , Dhauli Ganga basin .

External affairs minister S. Jaishankar met with
Myanmar foreign minister U. Then Shwe on
Wednesday in Delhi .
The meeting acquires significance as it materialises after the security situation in Myanmar is

10 fishermen arrested

Ten Indian fisherman , arrested for alleged involvement in
illegal fishing fishing in Srilankan waters on Monday , will be charged with Srilankan Navy sailor
. The Navy personnel died after fisherman of injuries from dangerous manoeuvres

The Srilankan Navy has arrested 200 fishermen and seized 27
