MVA vows to fight
assembly elections in Maharashtra as a United force
The constituents of Maha Vikas Aghadi ( MVA ) put on a show
of strength on Saturday .
They said that they will be in upcoming Assembly polls in
Maharashtra which is expected to be in August this year.
In the Conference held together both Shiv Sena ( UBT ) chief
Uddhav Thavkrey and NCP ( SP ) chief Sharad Pawar said that those who left them
would not be taken back .
They were pointing to Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar faction
respectively .
“ The Lok Sabha Polls victory for Maha Vikas Aghadi is not
the end , it is the beginning . Our alliance will be with the upcoming Assembly
Election in the state as well. ” said Shiv Sena ( UBT ) .
In the Lok Sabha Poll results MVA won 30 seats while NDA won
17 out of 48 seats .
Eight Naxals one
Jawan killed in exchange of fire in Chhattisgarh
Eight Naxals were killed in a gun battle that lef ta Jawan from
the special Task Force ( STF ) dead in Abujhmad area of Narayanpur district of
Chhattisgarh , the Police said .
The Joint Anti Naxal Operation was carried out by personnel
from the District Reserve Guard ( DRG ) and STF , from the four districts of Narayanpur
,Kodagaon , Kanker and Dantewada aligned with 53rd crops of the ITBP .
Since the beginning of this year , anti-Naxal Operation has
been intensified in the state, with a total 131 Naxals being killed and 22
civilians dead this year
14 dead as vehicle
falls into gorge in Uttarakhand
14 People lost their lives and 12 were injured after a van
fell into a gorge in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand on Saturday .
The bus skidded off Rishikesh Badrinath National Highway and
fell into Alaknanda river .
Center launches
portal to ecologically monitor Ganga
The Union Jal Shakti Ministry has launched an e-flow
ecological monitoring system that allows real time monitoring systems that
allows real time monitoring of river
quality.
The Environmental flows (E flows ) monitoring system has
been developed by National Mission for Clean Ganga , an arm for Jal Shakti Ministry.
This will provide :

Real time analysis of quality of river water of
Ganga,Yamuna and their tributaries . It also allows monitoring of Namami Gange
Programme activities at Central level .
This includes monitoring and
functioning of sewages .
Namami Gange Programme is aimed at uninterrupted flow and
cleanliness of Ganga
Diphtheria outbreak
in Odisha village ; govt orders probe
The Odisha government has directed the Health Department and
Regional Medical Research Center ( RMRC ) , to enquire into the reasons for a
suspected Diptheria outbreak at Manuspadar village in Rayagada district .
Five children have died from Diptheria and 9 have been
affected .
The village Manuspadar is situated in Kashipur block of
Rayagada district . The village is difficult to access .

Jiribam district located along NH 37 border of Assam and
Manipur , has been under the ethnic violence .
Jiribam is a district at Assam Manipur border . NH 37 , a
